Feedback from Kia's students"After many years with the same flute teacher, I had reached an impasse and needed somebody who could take my playing to another level; in Kia, I found that person. Kia gave me inspiration and confidence to move forward and thanks to her expert tuition, I was able to secure a place at Manchester university to study music. I would highly recommend Kia to anyone; she is talented, patient, inspiring and good fun." Eleanor, now a Music Student at University of Manchester
"As an adult learner picking up the flute from scratch, I feel really lucky to have found Kia through the web. Kia is innovative in her approach, totally professional in her arrangements and an outstanding flautist who in my view can facilitate just about anything whatever your personal musical direction. Although I have decided to follow a more traditional ABRSM route at least initially, Kia’s encouragement over my occasional musical tangents into Jazz and Popular music is always flexible and positive. I was particularly impressed recently when she established my overall learning style (visual/auditory/kinaesthetic) and then used this approach to tackle a musical problem. Also, for me the fact that she is a busy, accomplished professional musician (as opposed to a full time teacher) is an unexpected motivator" Richard, Adult learner, Woodford "Kia is a fantastic, professional, well organised and fun teacher. Our daughter has made huge progress in the time she has been learning with Kia. Kia has been able to stretch Molly while still making the lessons enjoyable. She did a great job of preparing Molly for auditions at the junior conservatoires and helped her win a place at the Junior Guildhall. I cannot recommend her highly enough" Parent, London "I really enjoy my lessons with Kia and look forward to her input, which I think is making a real positive difference to many aspects of my flute playing. The lessons are relaxed yet we manage to cover a lot of ground, from technique to musical expression of the pieces I'm working on. Her insight and tips for exercises to follow up with have helped structure my practice time and concentrate on the things that will make the biggest difference. I'm always left inspired and encouraged." Layla, adult learner "Kia is a teacher who has huge enthusiasm for music and great interest in her pupils. It is a delight to see her teach our daughter." parent, Old Street, London For students
